Combat Dressing Gaining High Demand For Military Sector For Treating Wounded Military Personnel
The combat dressing refers to a variety of equipment used for the treatment of injuries. Most of these injuries are either non-life threatening or life-threatening. As a result, the combat dressing has to be adapted to meet the special needs of the casualties. Injuries incurred to personnel may range from minor wounds resulting from shrapnel thrown out of war devices to major wounds resulting from explosion or shooting incidents. There have been cases where soldiers have sustained serious internal injuries during operations and had to be operated on. This dressing includes bandages, protective clothing, bodysuits, medical gloves, face shields, surgical masks, scrubs, and bodysuits.
The
equipment need not necessarily be all in one piece but must be designed to meet
the healthcare professional's specific needs. A full-face shield is considered
the minimum requirement when it comes to tourniquets and face shields. A number
of improvised quick-relief kits are currently available in the market,
including bandages, medical wrap, and blankets. Bandages, et al, are normally
used in emergency trauma dressing and can be applied immediately on the
patients to alleviate the pain caused due to the cuts and wounds. As such
medical wrapping has gained a strong position among the various forms of
application bandages. In fact, the demand for them has increased tremendously.
However, these quick-relief bandages do not provide much help when it comes to
long-term application.
It
has also been seen that a number of wounded military personnel need immediate
medical care. In such a case, the military doctors adopt combat dressings to
dress the wounds. These leagues have many medical benefits like protection from
chemical and biological hazards and also facilitate easy movement for the
patient. These leagues are designed to withstand all kinds of harsh weather
conditions and are generally available in different colors and styles to suit
the needs of the medical staff
