3D Printing has Become one Essential Technologies in Modern-Day Manufacturing, Architecture, and Engineering
In recent years, 3D Printing technologies have developed vastly and have now played crucial roles in a wide range of applications, from medicine, engineering, architecture, clothing, custom figurines, and more. 3D technology is finally catching up to its full potential, which means that industries are employing new techniques and tools that were only previously available only in the realm of science fiction. 3D technology, also known as additive manufacturing, has been around for decades, but it has only been in the last few years that such printing technology has started to be widely utilized, both in the domestic and international market.
3D Printing is the process of using several different printing technologies so as to create a wide range of products. The printers used can be ones that can create a surface pattern, or they can be ones that can be used to create solid materials, for instance, hard plastic. Additive technology has had a huge breakthrough recently, thanks to the development of "smart" technology - meaning that the printers can identify exactly which item they are supposed to print. For instance, if the computer reads that it should print out a bottle of toothpaste, then the printer will know that it needs to print the particular model.
3D Printing can also be used on a smaller scale. Imagine being able to create a surface pattern on a desk or table - then being able to apply this surface to whatever you like. It is possible to use this type of printing technology to create a surface on a sheet of metal, or even fabric. Imagine a new type of surface that combines the strength of the latest computer printers with the quality of a regular printing press. 3D printing is being incorporated in a variety of sectors including construction and infrastructure. Recently, in September 2020, PERI GmbH started the construction of the first 3D-printed residential building in Germany.
